Please note: this casting call has been cancelled following the cancellation of the show on SABC3 by producers Rapid Blue.

For more about this, please see: SABC3 loses Come Dine With Me South Africa

BBC dropped it like a smelly guest but now SABC3's invited it for a season of new dinners.

Come Dine with Me South Africa has been given new life by SABC3 after being cancelled by the BBC on DStv and the search for suitable dinner hosts has begun.

Rapid Blue are producing it again and the show will stay true to its format: four strangers visit one another's homes for dinner and attempt to outwit and impress fellow guests with their culinary and hospitality skills in a bid to win a prize.

The series is only filming in Joziburg so all hosts need to live in this area.

The show is looking for people who:

- are a whizz in the kitchen
- have loads of personality & confidence
- love entertaining
- have the ability to perform under pressure
- have what it takes to meet a challenge

If this is You, you can enter here: CDWMSA entry forms.

Entries close on Sunday, 26 February 2017.

Interesting question qavile - we've asked Rapid Blue who say that each host gets an allowance to spend on the dinner.

Re-Durbs etc, yes, the other seasons were filmed in other cities too - they've obviously cut costs now that it's on welfare TV.
