SABC3's cooking up a new offering in more ways than one. The channel recently revived the former BBC property Come Dine with Me South Africa (see the Casting Call
here) and now there's another new reality show on the menu: Dinner Date, a dating show that hooks-up singles through dinner.
It's produced by Phoenix Productions in association with Quizzical Pictures (producers of MasterChefSA) and each episode centres round a contestant who assesses five menus created by five potential blind dates.
The five singles behind the menus each come up with a three course meal and the contestant chooses their three favourites. They go on three dates with the singles who've compiled the menus which leads to the ultimate question at the end of each episode: who do they want to see for seconds?
If you're in the mood for fun, laughter and lurve, this show could be a tasty adventure for you.
Who is the show looking for?
Anyone between the ages of 21 and 65 can enter.
Entries are only open for people who live in Gauteng unfortunately - it's the same with Come Dine With Me.
Clearly SABC3's budget isn't national but hopefully this will change if they keep injecting fresh new shows.
Closing date for entries is
Friday, 31 March 2017.
You can enter by calling 011 726 2828 or you can email date@dinnerdatesa.co.za.
