Revealed: SABC3's new autumn schedule

There's another new schedule on the way to SABC3 and this time it starts from April 2017 - post the demise of Hlaudi and High Rollers, which ends on Monday, 27 March.

The new schedule takes effect from Monday, 3 April and will be accompanied by the introduction of a new channel tagline: "The Stage Is Yours."

Notable changes to "The Stage" include:

- The News will move into Bold's former timeslot at 18h00 so that Bold airs back-to-back with Isidingo.

- Real Talk with Anele swaps with Afternoon Express. Real Talk moves to 17h00 and Afternoon Express moves back to 16h00 where it should have stayed because 17h00 isn't afternoon - it's early evening!

- The 19h30 timeslot will be shared by reality and drama: reality from Mondays to Wednesdays and drama from Thursdays to Fridays.

- Magazine shows will air from Mondays to Wednesdays at 20h30.

- Nights of Our Lives, which has crept all the way to midnight over the past few months, moves "earlier" to 22h30. Someone give the scheduler a Bells.

NOT.

- Special Assignment moves to Mondays at 21h00.

- Trending SA will air on Mondays to Thursdays at 21h30.

- Bollywood weekend movies make a comeback..

- The channel has eventually discovered that no tweenz could watch ~~Tween Talk~~ Fun-natix because of its mindbendingly bad timing and they've scrapped it completely.

Uyanda Mbuli is irrelevant mos ,why would she get a reality show .i am Anele is moving to a later time .lot of shows here i am not interested on .i doubt rating will improve with yet another schedule.

Haaibo, where are Amazing Race and Survivor? Amazing Race I can watch on Sony but Survivor? Please don't tell me it's not been cancelled again. I thought these two shows interchange on the Monday 20:30 slot? please respond.

Lol I love how this person writes haha... quite funny. Days Of Our Lives is still a thing? Are they airing new episodes or a repeat- cause I think SA is months behind in episodes from USA, but still, the show is over, I don't think new episodes are still airing (in the US). Trending SA is now 30 mins earlier, good move... people (tweeps) really love that show. Muvhango is now repeated in the morning instead of Generations? Lol when did that happen? I'm going to laugh so hard when Bold gets Bold and the Beautiful gets more ratings than Isidingo, and this is not far fetched imo. And the weird thing is... Bold will have to compete with Skeem Saam (6.5million viewers+) and will probably STILL get more ratings than Isidingo! Maybe I'm being harsh because Isidingo has Rhythm City and SABC 1's news (about ~7 million combined viewers) to compete with. It's a shame cause Isidingo has actually become a really good show these past 2 months. I hope it'll continue being so.

Sometimes I feel like the SABC don't know or even understand what they're doing or trying to do. Every other month they are changing time schedules messing up our TV viewing schedules.

y (R) larger than life but cut out (R) of Tsaon3 I mean its on now in the evening come on guys. and thanks 4 days I prefer it than bold. we watch muvhango from sabc 1 n 2 so y not generations then they can be square. I can c u a trying but hey be reasonable one guys. pls u can't end high rollers but y not bold its international n they won @saftas so whatever they were doing its working #bringHRback guys.

I don't c tsaon3 on friday guy y I mean its a beautiful show were we hear anything around mzansi that have made it n high roller its fine the way it is I mean these who say its full of whites y we have lots of sopies full of black n whites never complaining abt it its racism guys stop it.

Some surprisingly positive news on this Monday morning... Survivor's been saved - it's going to be on Tuesdays instead of Mondays. Final Cut has been removed from the schedule and replaced by Survivor. There's no confirmation on what's happening with Amazing Race though.

A heads-up about another change... Expresso's been cropped by half an hour to make way for a new kids news and current affairs slot at 06h00 - we've updated the schedule to reflect this.

As if kids don't have enough worries to contend with! - now they need to start their day taking on the troubles of the world.
