A standup comedy special arising from the confusion of someone who is too young to be able to say they fought in the struggle, but too old to be a born-free.
It's been quite a road so far since Loyiso Madinga started performing comedy in 2012. He has performed a week of shows at the Teatro Monte Casino alongside international acts, written and performed on Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola and The Bantu Hour and even been invited to festivals around the world.
This Eastern Cape boy is returning home in true Khumbul'ekhaya style, except he's coming back willingly. In fact, he's excited to see how many sheep you slaughter for him.
As Loyiso himself said prior to the filming of the special:
"uTata would be proud. And by uTata I mean Madiba. My real father would still prefer I be an engineer or anything else. So I urge you to help me prove him and my matric results wrong."
Filmed in 2016, this is Loyiso's debut standup comedy special.
