Another year and another Miss South Africa has been crowned to a trumpet of promises that she's going to do great deeds and change people's lives.
This year the crown belongs to 23-year-old Capetonian medical student Tamaryn Green who snatched the title at the 2018 pageant on Sunday night (27 May 2018).
It was broadcast live on Mzansi Magic and M-Net and the competition came down to a showdown between Tamaryn and legal eagle Thulisa Keyi, who will represent South Africa at the Miss World pageant later this year.
The competition introduced a new formula this year by choosing a Miss World South Africa 2018 and Miss Universe South Africa 2018, which means two different people will represent us on the global stage.
Thulisa was named Miss World and Tamaryn will take on Miss Universe.
