Telemundo's new novela On the Other Side of the Wall premieres on the channel this Monday (20 August) at 20h00, replacing
Blood & Wine, which ends this week.
Premiere episodes will air Mondays to Fridays at 20h00, with the repeats running at 02h30, 07h00, 12h00 and 17h00 the following day.
Here's a look at what to expect followed by the first teasers:
Eliza Romero, a humble Mexican baker, arrives in Los Angeles with her two children and the illusion of finally reuniting with her husband Max Sullivan.
Unfortunately, Max never arrives at the station where they planned to meet, and Eliza finds herself lost and alone in an unfamiliar country with two kids and another one on the way.
Meanwhile, Sofia Villavicencio, the wife of Ernesto, the governor of the Mexican state of Puebla, flees her home with her daughter after she receives a death threat from her husband and finds herself falsely accused of murdering a journalist.
With no one else to turn to, Sofia seeks refuge with an old acquaintance, Eliza. The two women live in a small Mexican neighbourhood until police officer Joel Benitez, the murdered journalist’s brother, finds Sofia and arrests her.
10 years later, Eliza runs a bakery and still hopes that Max is out there searching for her, unaware that he lives nearby in a wealthy neighborhood with his other wife and son.
While the world believes Sofia died in an attack two years ago, she is actually alive. Her death was a stunt created by the police to protect her and to use her as a witness against a corrupt senator and his criminal allies.
These are the stories of good people who did not choose their destiny of living on the other side of the wall.
