Dapper Alemdaroglu returns to a small town on the outskirts of Istanbul on a mission of revenge against a man called Tahsin Korludag. Family beef, you understand.
The good thing? When he gets there he falls in love with a gorgeous girl called Suhan, an independent and successful businesswoman who has her own brand of perfumes and glass products.
The bad thing? She's the daughter of Tahsin, the very man he believes killed his father. You know - the one he's come to murder.
Totes. Awks. This sort of thing never goes down well with the girlfriend. Mucho Problemo for our dapper friend Dapper.
Suhan doesn't fully trust Dapper at first, but as they uncover the secrets and lies of the Korludag family (obvs), she finds herself torn between her father and the man she has grown to smaak.
Yada-yada, things take a dangerous twist, yada-yada, the brother of Tahsin's mistress (wtf?!) gets released from prison after serving a 30-year sentence for murder, yada-yada, etc. and so forth.
A huge game of cat-and-mouse unfolds as Dapper and Suhan find themselves unwittingly involved in a long historical family feud.
Will Dapper get the girl? Will she escape the clutches of Bad Dad and his Problematic Friends? Who lives and who dies? This... (tense music)... is Die Vreemdeling.
