New African lifestyle channel HONEY launches on DStv Channel 173 this Monday (15 February) and we've got you covered with errythang you need to know about it.

It's available on Premium, Compact Plus and Compact and it's produced by Media24's television unit, who also do the Afrikaans channel VIA.

It's going to broadcast in multiple African countries including South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Mozambique, Tanzania, DRC and Cameroon.

The programing: a mix of reality shows, reality lows, makeovers, dating, cooking, fashion and talk shows.

It’s a cook-off between two Kenyan food bloggers to see whose dish will make it onto the menu of
a restaurant.

In each episode, two food bloggers visit a much-loved local restaurant and are tasked with creating a bespoke meal worthy enough to get the nod from the restaurateur.

In each episode the contestant will also explore Nairobi’s cultural and tourist attractions to find inspiration for their dishes.

The two food bloggers then duke it out to see whose dish makes it onto the menu and whose dish doesn’t make the cut.

Two housemates - siblings, lovers or friends - who are frustrated with a shared living space have a chance to fix it.

A coin toss determines which one of them will be given the opportunity to makeover the disputed space with the help of a team of experts.

In the space of a day and a small budget, the space is transformed to work for both housemates.

The series is set in South Africa and there are two hosts: Moyin Oloruntoba from Nigeria, who is a Cape-Town-based celebrity, pop culture and fashion blogger and vlogger; and Christelle Afana Fonkem, Cameroon-born, Johannesburg-based interior designer.

It's driven by agony aunt type letters outlining a viewer’s dilemma regarding romance, health, their hustle or family and friends.

The Buzz team offers their advice and through the course of the episode more details around the viewer’s conundrum are revealed.

Will the panel change their opinions as the episode progresses or stick to their guns?

To conclude, they vote on the matter.
