Anele Zondo is a South African actress and presenter best known for her recurring role as Faith on the 1Magic soapie The River.
The youngest of four daughters, Anele was born in Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal. After matriculating, she obtained a Media Studies diploma through Boston Media House.
She first appeared on television in the recurring role of a receptionist in the second season of the Mzansi Magic drama series It's Complicated, first appearing in Season 2, Episode 5 (which aired on 6 November, 2016).
Her next acting role was a cameo in an episode of another Mzansi Magic drama - Saints and Sinners - which aired on 19 March, 2017 (Season 3, Episode 11).
In the same year she auditioned for the MTV Base VJ Search, making it to the Top 10.
Also in 2017, Anele began shadowing the two presenters of the Mzansi Magic / Channel O co-production Massive Music - Lalla Hirayama and Smash Afrika - which led to her becoming a permanent presenter on the show.
She next landed the recurring role of Faith in the 1Magic soapie The River, appearing from the very first episode on 29 January, 2018. She returned to the role the following year, for Season 2.
In 2020, Anele was announced as the new host of the SABC1 reality competition series One Mic, replacing Bontle Modiselle, who hosted the show in Season 2.
