TX Time: 20h30
Genre: Action, Police Procedural, Comedy-Drama
Jay Hernandez stars as Thomas Magnum in a modern take on the classic series about a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator in Hawaii.
A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum lives in a guest cottage on Robin's Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business.
The "majordomo" of the property is Juliet Higgins, a beautiful and commanding disavowed MI:6 agent whose second job is to keep Magnum in line, with the help of her two Dobermans.
When Magnum needs back-up on a job, he turns to his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors, Theodore "TC" Calvin, a former Marine chopper pilot who runs Island Hoppers, a helicopter tour business; and Orville "Rick" Wright, a former Marine door-gunner-turned-impresario of Oahu's coolest nightclub and the most connected man on the island.
Suspicious of Magnum's casual attitude and presence at his crime scenes, Detective Gordon Katsumoto (Tim Kang) finds that he and Magnum are more alike than either of them care to admit.
With keys to a vintage Ferrari in one hand, aviator sunglasses in the other, and an Old Düsseldorf longneck chilling in the fridge, Thomas Magnum is back on the case.

Channel: BBC Lifestyle (DStv 174)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Home Improvement
Kevin McCloud is back with more extraordinary architecture as he follows the emotional highs and lows of the brave men and women who are risking it all to build the home of their dreams.
Full of awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping builds, the new season includes a radical barn renovation for a remarkable young couple defying illness, an ex-soldier building a giant subterranean extension, and a pioneering couple defying logic to create the UK's first self-heating house.
In the Season 18 premiere, "South West London": Not many of us would even think about building their new home within a cemetery, but that's precisely the madcap mission former army captain Justin sets out on.
He's spent a whopping £1.8-million pounds on an abandoned Neo-Gothic cemetery keeper's lodge and adjoining ex-council toilet block in South West London.
Justin's vision is to restore the lodge but demolish the ugly toilet blocks and replace them with an enormous luxury ground floor extension, with added moat and giant basement with a swimming pool – all just metres from the nearest grave.
He'll build the house, for himself and his five year old son, in just one year and for no more than £1.6 million. At least that's the plan.
With some builder's quotes coming in at a crazy £4-million, the project hits delays right from the off.
When tortuous demolition and excavation finally start, incredibly Justin decides his basement needs to be even bigger so extends the excavation directly underneath the heavy stone-built Gothic lodge, adding hugely to the engineering costs and schedule.
With challenges coming thick and fast, including a global pandemic, remarkably Justin refuses to compromise even as the budget spirals out of control.
