This is an Afrikaans dub of the Turkish novela Mucize Doktor, which itself was based on the 2013 K-Drama Good Doctor.
It was the inspiration for the medical drama series The Good Doctor, starring Freddie Highmore.
The story follows Ali, who was born in a provincial town and was rejected by his father and given up for adoption.
Ali has savant syndrome, a rare condition in which someone with significant mental disabilities demonstrates certain abilities far in excess of average.
He grew up in orphanages and graduated from the faculty of medicine with a degree, before starting work in a private hospital as an assistant surgeon.
The series begins when the young autistic doctor saves a boy's life at the airport.
We also meet the characters who will form part of this young man's journey as a new assistant surgeon.
