Season 3 winners, buddies Izak Redelinghuys and Wessel Pieterse
Renewed!
My Kitchen Rules South Africa has the green light for Season 4, and applications are open for fun-loving teams of two who know their stuff in their home kitchen.
The season premieres on M-Net in Spring 2022 and the format remains the same, judged by series regulars J’Something and David Higgs.
If the show is new to you and you aren't familiar with the format, here's a quick overview:
There are two phases to the competition
Instant Restaurant
Pairs have to create an instant restaurant where they serve a three course meal to the show’s other contestants and the judges.
The Kitchen Headquarters
The couples who avoid getting the chop embark on a series of challenges at the My Kitchen Rules headquarters and in various locations around South Africa.
The prize:
R1-million.
How to audition
You can enter with your bestie, bae, spouse, neighbour - it doesn't matter who BUT you need to have a strong, pre-existing relationship with a real connection between you.
You need to be able to put together a creative menu in your own personal style.
Both of you must be 18-years-old on 30 April 2022.
You can apply on the show's official application form here:
My Kitchen Rules SA
As you'll see, you need to include a video of you and your teammate putting your best dish forward.
This advice from J'Something:
"When creating your home audition video, showcase each of your personalities and your skills in the kitchen.
Most importantly, make sure that you and your chosen partner have a good connection and great rapport in the kitchen. Good luck!”
Applications close on
Sunday 8 May 2022.
