Lifetime suffers the same fate as the cheerleaders in their deadly pom pom movies
Eventually. The channel that's been given too many chances by DStv will shut down on 31 May.
A&E Networks has announced the closure of Lifetime Africa, which first launched in the region in 2014.
As you may recall, there was a fuss and to do
about it in 2019 when it was on the verge of death, but then it was saved along with HISTORY.
That's definitely not going to happen again because it's shutting down in Poland too, a year after it closed in the UK, Ireland and Malta.
In other words, it's becoming a has-been. A Lifetime that's ending. Time that has no more life.
But we digress... in a nutshell: Lifetime in Africa is now HISTORY, which remains on DStv, but for how long? It was also in jeopardy back in 2019 so it wouldn't be surprising if things are touch and go with that too.
For now though, it remains on 186 and we'll continue to cover it on TVSA, as we did yesterday, with the two Civil War specials. You'll find details on them here:
New on TV today: Sunday 24 April
Both repeat this Saturday 30 April at these times:
21h05: The Secret History of the Civil War
21h55: Black Patriots: Heroes of the Civil War
