brought to our beloved community of soapie fans since 2006.
New series The Power of Love premiered on Glow TV on Wednesday 20 July at 19h00, replacing Emporer Ashoka, which ended the day before.
It follows Bondita, a former child bride who becomes a Barrister/High Court Advocate with the support of her progressive husband.
Educated and empowered, she takes on social evils while also tackling obstacles in her personal life.

Wednesday 20 July 2022
Episode 1
Part 1
8-year-old little Bondita is the daughter of a widow. Marred by the atrocities faced by her mother due to her father’s untimely death, Bondita challenges the rules of tradition in each step of her life.
Part 2
On the other hand, there’s 19-year-old Anirudh, who has completed Law in London and is determined to do something for the women of his country.

Episode 2
Part 1
Bondita writes a letter to her would-be husband in which she mentions the condition of being allowed to take her mother to her in-laws’ place after marriage. She eagerly waits for the reply.
Part 2
On the other hand, Anirudh who has come home for a short period, is misunderstood by his uncle, who is a landlord, to be a permanent stay. And thus he decides to hand over all his responsibilities to Anirudh.

Episode 3
Anirudh is shocked to hear that Somanth is beating an old man because he drank water which was stored for the higher class people only! Anirudh stops him and gets outraged at the social inequality.
Episode 4
Bondita’s uncle decides to get her married to an old man for the sake of money!

Episode 5
Bondita receives the reply letter from Anirudh but Bondita's uncle reads the letter and conveys the message wrongly to her.
Episode 6
To stop Bondita from creating a scene during her wedding with an older man, her aunt keeps her unconscious throughout the wedding. She uses Bondita's hunger as a weapon and offers her sweets mixed with a heavy dose of chloroform!

Episode 7
Anirudh tries his best to stop Bondita's marriage, he approaches police officers too but all his efforts seem to be in vain.
Episode 8
As Bondita's marriage ceremony comes to a close, her new husband has a heart attack and passes away! Adding to the utter shock, Bondita is forced to perform Sati, where the widow burns herself along with her husband!

Episode 9
After the death of Bondita's husband, the villagers forcefully try to push this 8-year-old child into the deceased husband's funeral pyre.
Episode 10
Anirudh comes home with Bondita as his wife and faces his family, who is furious at the step that he has taken.

Episode 11
Anirudh loses all hope as everyone in the family rebukes his unexpected marriage with an underage child, making him unleash his wrath in front of Bondita.
Episode 12
Anirudh confesses his love to Saudamini but Saudamini denies accepting him.

Episode 13
Bondita falls for Binoy's plans, when she is misled and told that the widows are taking her away to meet her mother.
Episode 14
After learning the truth that Bondita has fallen prey to Binoy's sinister plan, Anirudh rushes to rescue her from the widows' clutches. He arrives just in the nick of time and stops the widows from forcefully taking her away to Vrindavan.
Premiere episodes of Emperor Ashoka air on Glow TV from Mondays to Fridays at 19h00 and 19h30 on days when there are half hour episodes and at 19h00 on days with hour long episodes.
Repeats on weekdays at 12h00 and 12h30 with an omnibus on Sundays between 10h30 and 14h30.
