Mother-daughter relationships come into focus on Generations: The Legacy tonight (12 September) with the arrival of Fikile's daughter Didi, portrayed by Neo Rapetsoa.
Neo extends her TV credits to three with this role after featuring in two shows over winter.
She played restaurant manager Blessing on The Queen a couple of months ago, and she played Funi on the latest season of 1Magic's 20-something Unmarried.
On Gen she must bring a volatility to her character as Didi, because that's how the Di' rolls.
Didi arrives with her brother Bonga (Tabile Tau) because of Fikile and Mazwi's engagement, in the midst of big changes in her life.
She was studying to be a lawyer but we'll discover that she's ditched that to be a photographer - she thinks she wants to be a photojournalist.
She's described as a volatile mix of her mother and father, with a hair-trigger temper like Ben.
She also wears her heart on her sleeve, like Fikile, and it's a good heart, which underlies her prickly nature.
Because of their similarity, or despite it, her relationship with her mother is strained.
How strained and can it be fixed? We're about to find out.
