TX Time: 19h00
Genre: Reality

Forever Maybe

Lerato Kganyago is the host of this reality series, which documents couples working through marital crises.

Kganyago is joined by psychologist Lindelani Magubane, as four couples whose marriages are on the verge of collapse move into a house for a month in a last-ditch attempt to stay together and find a healthier path forward - or call it quits forever.

While they are cocooned in the bubble, they are allowed contact from their trusted family members who will act as their confidants and have say over the couples' final decision.

If the intervention fails, this could spell the end of their marriages.

As host, Kganyago's role is to facilitate the round table discussions, and to engage the couples in post-mortem conversations after certain exercises and activities designed to test the individuals and their relationships.

Nataniël. Erik. Wolf.

Channel: kykNET (DStv 144)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Documentary Series, Lifestyle

Nataniël. Erik. Wolf.

A new adventure with Nataniël and Erik le Roux awaits when the brothers return to TV with Nataniël. Erik. Wolf.

Food, art, history and beauty remain recognisable elements of their shows, but this time a world of fantasy, evil, goodness, cruelty and rescue gets discovered.

Nataniël has started many projects after a discovery on the bookshelf – a forgotten container full of illustrations by the French artist, Gustave Doré (1832–1883).

These sketches led Nataniël to rediscover the fairytales on which children are raised, as well as the need to find the original versions – unchanged by commercial publishers or filmmakers.

Eventually designers and artists – South Africans and Europeans – were asked to get involved, and Nataniël and his team returned to Nantes in France for the first time in three years.

This time Erik found a centuries-old workshop on the grounds of an eccentric mansion and between the trees of a lush green forest a series was born.

Food, art, design, books, stories and lots of music form the basis of this 13-episode series.

Pianist Charl du Plessis joined the group and is part of many episodes (and situasions).

Original music by Nataniël was arranged into an atmospheric score and the two brothers hope that viewers will relax, laugh with, cook with, travel with, discover with, ask questions, address issues, find inspiration, get transported and begin every week with joy for a few months.

Celebrity Beef

Channel: E! (DStv 124)
TX Time: 18h10
Genre: Reality, Food, Reality Competition

Celebrity Beef

Joel McHale makes his return to E! as host and executive producer of Celebrity Beef, a cooking show that turns pop culture feuds into a battle of foods.

This comedic competition series follows two celebrity contestants each week as they go head-to-head-in a cook-off and squash their beef with knives in hand, spices on the rack and ready to prepare the best dish this side of the Hollywood Hills.

As the celebrities attempt to settle the score in the kitchen, things get spicy as they reveal the inside scoop of their rivalry.

As host, Joel acts as prosecutor, judge and jury, creating twists and turns with various challenges throughout the showdown.

The winner of each challenge will have an advantage over their competitor, such as being treated to exclusive ingredients, while the loser receives a cruel punishment, like swapping out their knives for gardening tools.

At the end of each episode, the contestants present their final meal to Joel for the ultimate taste test, as he crowns one person the winner and helps the duos squash their beef once and for all.

The victor will also receive a trophy and is awarded $10,000 for their charity of choice.

Celebrity contestants include:

Cheryl Hines & Rachael Harris
Ben Higgins & Nick Viall
Cynthia Bailey & Todd Bridges
Andy Grammer & Justin Baldoni
Justin Sylvester & Loni Love
Dolores Catania & Caroline Manzo
Missi Pyle & Jeff Lewis
Nikki & Brie Bella

TX Time: 20h30
Genre: Food, Reality

Jan RSVP

Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen is back on home soil and has turned a small 1712 farmhouse in a lavender field into something magnificent.

And now he is inviting some of his best guests for the food experience of a lifetime.

As in previous seasons of the show JAN, he uses his home country as inspiration for the dishes in his restaurant in Nice, France.

Where he usually finds ideas in old South African cooking books or unique products from European markets, he now turns to the people he meets and spends time with for inspiration.

In this show, togetherness is the running theme that Jan celebrates.

He sets the table for legendary guests in the renovated farmhouse and a union of cultures and memories follows.

For each of his special guests Jan makes a dish inspired by their own stories and being that will then be added to the menu of JAN in Nice.

Together they cook, talk about life, share old recipes, traditions and dishes that they remember.

The guests that come to share their food secrets and old family recipes include celebrities like Coenie de Villiers, Ina Paarman, chef Mokgadi Itsweng and Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout.

The Invasion of Belgium

Channel: HISTORY (DStv 186)
TX Time: 21h05
Genre: Documentary, History

The Invasion of Belgium

On the 2nd of August 1914 Belgium did not expect to be at war, but by the following day, that was exactly its situation.

That this small country could stop a German army 10 times larger than its own was unthinkable.

What followed in the first few days of the first world war was remarkable, bringing the first deaths, the first air raid, the first mass gas attack and the first battles of the first gallantry awards, all of which has been largely ignored by the enormity of the five-million deaths that followed.
