You asked for it Gen luvvas and here it is. The lowdown on the character portrayed by Nicholas Nkuna, who makes his debut on Generations: The Legacy on Wednesday 8 March, with 7de Laan in his rear view mirror.
He's playing the role of Anathi Mpofu, a journalist described as "rogue". He's a seductive bad boy who'll do anything to get the story, no matter the cost.
He makes his debut alongside Rebaone Kgosimore, who you may know as Ben Kgosimore because that's how he's been credited on the TV shows he's been in so far. He's had guest roles on Scandal! and MTV's Shuga: Down South 2, where he played the character of Monareng.
His role on Gen is billed as "major" because he's playing a Moroka, Paul Moroka Jnr.
Paul who gets blindfolded in the
March teasers.
Do these actors suit the roles?
Gen's casting directing Russel Savadier reveals why they were cast:
Russel: “Anathi Mpofu has a certain swagger, he has an arrogance - he dominates every room he enters.
"In Nicholas we found an actor who is able to dominate every scene he’s in. He has a wonderfully strong screen presence - and we felt he was the perfect fit for our new Hard Nosed Journalist.”
Russel: “The Moroka name carries a huge amount of weight and power. Paul Moroka Jnr is a Playboy, a Lover, and a Shrewd Businessman.
"We were looking for a Tswana speaking actor able to embody all those qualities. Rebaone Kgosimore has a natural charm and good looks and a strong physical resemblance to Mpho who plays his father Kabisi Moroka. We feel he’s a great addition to our Generations Family.”
