Back!
Lord of the Skies returns to Telemundo for a new season this October - a whopping three years after the premiere of Season 7 in South Africa.
Season 8 starts on Monday 2 October at 22h00 and continues the story of Aurelio Casillas.
In case you aren't familiar with it... the series is a fictional account of the real life story of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, one of the most notorious Mexican drug lords of the 1990s.
He was known as El Señor de Los Cielos, meaning The Lord of the Skies, because he used fleets of jets to transfer drugs to other South American countries and North America, which he financed through money laundering.
Aurelio supposedly died in Season 7 after an attempt on his life but he's very much alive and kicking in Season 8, captured by DEA agents who are the only ones who know he's still breathing.
This isn't the first time he's been presumed dead - it happened between Seasons 1 and 2 too, after he had plastic surgery to change his face so that the authorities couldn't recognise him.
They know exactly who he is this time round and they hide him at the secretive Area 51 in the desert.
This makes him even more determined to exact revenge for the life and loved ones he's lost and the season sees him embark on a mission of vengeance.
Through this he establishes connections with old allies, faces new romances and uncovers family mysteries.
Rafael Amaya plays him once again.
