The man who left Generations: The Legacy more times than Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo combined returns to primetime TV, a half an hour later.
Vuyo Dabula's joined Uzalo in the role of posh-sounding Bentley Majozi, along with three other new arrivals who step in with the announcement of big name exits, namely: Wiseman Mncube and Nkanyiso Mchunu who take their bows at the end of Season 9, which ends early next year.
Nkanyiso's played the role of Wizard for the past two seasons and Wiseman's been with the show since Season 5 in 2019 when there was that
big cast shake-up after the exodus of Nay Maps, Nokuthula Mabika, Glen Gabela and
Ntokozo "Mastermind" Dlamini.
Wiseman at the time of his Uzalo debut
Wiseman's become oh-so-popular with starring roles on multiple current primetime series including Shaka iLembe, BET's Mandoza biopic and Mzansi Magic's upcoming new novela My Brother's Keeper where he headlines as the main character so it isn't surprising that he's on the move.
One big gun exits and another arrives. Of course this means that producers Stained Glass TV will have to hold onto Vuyo Dabula, which is like keeping money in your pocket on payday.
Also joining the show are Nonhle Jali, Slee Ndlovu (of Real Gold Diggers fame) and Ntokozo Vilakazi, who was most recently seen in Mzansi Magic's music drama uZulu noMhlaba.
Nonhle and Slee play business soulmates Thandiwe and Xoliswa, ambitious and unapologetic. Thandiwe has an appetite for danger and Xoliswa's ruthless.
Ntokozo plays MaBillion, a character described as someone who grapples with grief, vengeance and a puzzled mind.
Anyone been experiencing grief recently? If so, you'll know the feeling.
We've been hearing about Bentley already, now keep a lookout for the other newcomers in the
Uzalo teasers.
