Dearly beloved we gather here today to discuss why young adults keep running to the altar. Faith Nketsi has been trending recently because of snippets from her show Have Faith, where she previews possible divorce discussions and returns back home.
Now y'all know as your Aunty I love to give y'all a little history so here's some info.
Faith Nketsi was a former pro-twerker (she was the Beyoncé of the crew lessbeonest). Faith is 29-years-old this year and her birthday is on the 30th of December (honestly, this is the first dizzy Capricorn I've seen in my life because wow).
She attended Unisa (I am going to add allegedly because everybody and their great cousin has been to Unisa *380° eye roll*).
She is a co-founder of Feline Management, which is a talent management company that empowers women (now I won't talk about those allegations of her being a pimp or being the girl in the video that was stocko for Offset when the Migos came to S.A. I also won't mention that she was allegedly in a relationship with Davido).
Her pro-twerkers gig garnered her followers and she capitalised on this and created a strong online fanbase.
She started doing club promotions and even had a rap career (there was a lot going on in our country at some point because she was literally touring but I understand she has star quality and that's something you are born with, it's not taught).
Her Instagram following is in the millions and she has received some brand deals, one of them being an MTV reality TV show.
Nzuzo Njilo is a young lad from KZN, his father was the Mayor of Msanduzi Municipality and was into politics (apparently things went south here between him and the ANC).
He is the co-founder of a mining company (this is what got him into hot water). The allegations against him are for fraud as he and his business partner are accused of failing to deliver merchandise purchased close to the amount of R1mill.
He was arrested but is now currently out on bail (he had to maintain the lifestyle and lifestyle maintenance is expensive, especially when you are dealing with an Instagramer - not that I'm condoning what he did, however he knew who he was marrying so he had to up his game).
However, Faith has hinted that they are currently in Splitville and she's been speaking to divorce lawyers on her reality show Have Faith.
Now here's the kicker (dizzy dizzy dizzy things hle), they are married in Community of Property (why why why why no why). I just feel like there should be consultation processes with lawyers before getting married, especially because customary marriage is recognized in our court system.
In the snippet, she was explaining to the lawyer that she didn't sign any documents (I wanted to cry watching that because what do you mean you didn't sign any documents hunny that automatically makes it in COP).
At this point, Faith's husband failed her, but she failed herself as well, especially because she built her name by herself and her brand. She should've been speaking to lawyers from the jump.
I am tired of seeing people rushing to the altar to cover up pregnancies and beat cheating allegations. She basically has to assist him in clearing his debts but here's another kicker - apparently she too is in financial hot water (Dizzy Capricorn! like this is not in y'all nature hey and trust me I'm a Taurus, we like stability too much to make risky money moves this hard like this is a fumble).
According to City Press, they received word from her bank that she has failed to make credit card repayments (I understand hey, this year has been financially taxing).
I'm keeping faith that she'll get through this and regain her life. No one can control such things, however, now she knows to be better prepared for the future. Lesson learned!
I love to hear from y'all so please let me know your thoughts in the comments. If you've been divorced what advice do you have for women getting married?
