Kelders van 7de Laan
e.tv's step into the world of locally produced Afrikaans dailies has proven to be more successful than what was going over at SABC2 during the final days of 7de Laan.
Viewership for the most watched episode of Kelders van Geheime during its debut month this May was 83% higher than audiences for 7de Laan during its final month in
December 2023.
Kelders van Geheime attracted 1,653 738 viewers in contrast with 7de Laan that delivered 874,822
viewers for its finale.
There's also a 6.9% difference between them in Audience Share with KvG recording 15,9% and 7de Laan 9%.
A mole tells TVSA that the SABC's working on a new 18h00 soapie for SABC2 which could put a spanner in e.tv's works. Of course it may only happen in seven years time being the SABC.
