Season 9 finale hosts: Theo, Blaise, Ralph and Nthabi

Whoop, shut the front door! TVSA asked for it and it's happening.

BBC Lifestyle's Come Dine With Me South Africa extends to three new cities for Season 10 in the biggest invasion since its debut.

As you probably know, it's been in Cape Town, Joziburg, Durban and Gqeberha previously, changing from season to season, sometimes including Gqeberha and Durbs and sometimes not.

Now it's extending to Mbombela in Mpumalanga, Bloem in Free State and Rustenberg in North West, which will no doubt bring us dinner hosts with new, diverse perspectives and neighbourhoods.

The show's on a search for dinner hosts in these three locations and also Cape Town, Joziburg and Durban.

The only downside: Gqeberha isn't in the running for the season. Hopefully it'll feature in a future season again.

And now onto bizzness. How to be on the show. This is what you need to know if you'd like to apply:

Who are they looking for?

Hosts who are:

 A whizz in the kitchen,

Have loads of personality & confidence,

 Love entertaining,

Have the ability to perform under pressure,

Have what it takes to meet the challenge.

They're looking for people who are articulate, interesting and enthusiastic about the show.

You need to be willing to share your home, cooking, private thoughts and opinions in an open forum of strangers.

The format

Exactly the same as previous seasons, still produced by Rapid Blue.

If you aren't familiar with the format, check out the TVSA Show Page here:

Come Dine With Me South Africa

Application must knows

You need to be at least 18 years of age by 1 September 2024 and need to be a South African citizen or permanent resident.

You can't be a professional or semi-professional chef.

The producers may short-list a number of applicants from the applications received.

Auditions will be happening in July 2024, by invitation.

The series will film between September 2024 and December 2024 so you'd need to be available then.

48 hosts will be chosen in total.

If you'd like to apply, you'll find more info with the application form here:

Closing date: 23h59 SAST on 6 July 2024
