If you're in the mood for some "foreign movie vibes", this new miniseries ticks the boxes but be warned, it looks as if it's harrowing.
Children of the Church Steps premieres on Netflix this Wednesday 30 October and it's inspired by real life events that happened in Brazil on 23 July 1993.
Eight homeless people were gunned down outside the Candelária church in Rio de Janeiro, two of them were young adults (18 and 19) and the rest were teenagers and children.
Approximately 40 to 50 other street children also lived outside the church and were attacked too, some wounded, others managed to escape.
It's become known as the Candelária Massacre and the killers were members of the police.
According to Amnesty International, nine men were involved in the shootings but only three were convicted - all of them policemen. Two have since been released.
The series is a fictional account of what happened and it's in Brazil's national language Portuguese, with English sub-titles.
