WARNING: This
is for sensitive viewers.
The trailer for the new Afrikaans series Tuiskoms (Homecoming) on Netflix features the late Michelle Botes and it's emo to watch,
knowing what we know.
We had to take time out after watching to pull ourselves together:
A. Because of Michelle.
B. Because of the romance in it. There isn't enough romance in the world so it's uplifting to see people fall in lurve by actually meeting each other in the flesh instead of on an app.
C. It's about love after death.
7de Laan and Binnelanders actress Amalia Uys plays Fleur, who's at the centre of the
naked yoga story, and Michelle plays her mom.
It's a seven-part series produced by Infinity Films (Die Boekklub, Troukoors) and it premieres on Friday 28 February 2025.
