Season 3 begins on Monday 28 April after a blitz of baby drama in the
Season 2 finale this Friday.
Five actors make their debut in the season, four as new characters and one who steps out from behind the phone as Tiga, the menacing character first introduced through Zandile’s phone calls in Season 2.
We'll see him in Season 3 and his presence comes with a tragic twist because the actor who played him is no longer with us.
He was voiced by
Ebenhaezer Dibakwane who
died in March this year so the role has been recast and will be played by Thabo Mkhabela, best known for his longtime portrayal of Leshole on Skeem Saam.
It's a radical deparure from his Skeem days because Tiga's on a mission to annihilate the Ngwenyas and he's prepared to kill a baby to achieve it.
His first move: an attempt to poison Zandile’s bundle of joy.
When that fails, he exposes Rebs' most dangerous secret, setting off a chain of irreversible events.
The other four characters consist of two enemies and two friends. No, wait... three enemies and one friend. Maybe?

Langalibalele “Langa” Mkhize
Played by Thokozani Sithole
Langa is a decorated military man turned fugitive.
After a fallout with his corrupt General, Langa escapes a war-torn African country and finds refuge in KwaZulu-Natal, where he reconnects with his cousin Nandi.
With sharp instincts and a fierce protective streak, Langa becomes both a guardian and a businessman -running a shisanyama by day and an illicit operation by night.
He’s a lover boy at heart, and we’ll see this side of him when he falls for both Nelly and Thenjiwe.
Nqobile “Kamavovo” Mkhize
Played by Gcinile Nkosi
Nandi’s enigmatic aunt who arrives just as Nandi faces her deepest sorrow.
A spiritual guide and healer on the surface, Kamavovo carries a hidden mission: to avenge the murder of her brother Frans by taking down Rebs once and for all.
Siyamthanda
Played by Ayabonga Langa
A spirited and rebellious university student whose wild side lands her in trouble at res.
Nka takes her in and places her under Rebs’ roof, where she becomes entangled in a complicated love triangle with Velaphi.
As Velaphi wrestles with lust and love, Siya - proudly a virgin - clashes with his past, creating emotional turmoil and dramatic tension.
The General
Played by Mondli Makhoba
A ruthless and highly respected military commander with three decades of experience.
Publicly lauded and deeply feared, he operates a secret gun trade in the shadows - shielded by power, silence, and fear.
His conflict with Langa is the spark which will ignite the season.
