Since her very first TV appearance in
Beverley Hills 90210 I haven’t been able to
stand Tori Spelling.
The fact that she was a lead character in a show created by her TV-mogul dad Aaron Spelling annoyed me like you cannot believe. As much as I enjoyed the series and as okay-ish as her wimp of a character Donna was, I loathed every scene with her in.
The thing I don't understand about her is how she’s always seemed so happy with the fact that she’s become a star without doing a thing. I don’t know how she didn't feel compelled to cringe-out in embarassment when she was on the set of Beverley Hills, knowing everyone knew she only got the role because of who her dad was.
Nothing can convince me that this wasn’t the situation with her and if I’ve always thought it, then at least 90% of the cast must have too – espesh considering the fact that she’s a very mediocre actress with a ridiculous horse-face.
Other horse-faces of note: |
Camilla Parker-Bowles

Alanis Morissette

Sarah Jessica Parker |
Brigitte Willers

The way her elongated, oddly proportioned mug and body keeps popping up all over the place in Hollywood never ceases to annoy and freak me out.
What confuses me most is that I always idealistically imagine that it's too much of a cliche that someone can achieve fame as a result of who their family is. Like no-one could accept it without getting hysterical and refusing to let it happen - yet it really does happen everywhere.
In most instances it’s not only tolerated but also seems to be respected as a realistic reflection of someone’s abilities and talents – as in the case of the Kelly Osbourne Pig being Ozzy’s daughter.
If she weren’t related to him there’s noo ways she’d ever be given even a glance for anything at all. Of course Paris Hilton and the way she’s used her family’s hotels to get invited to pretentious parties is exactly the same - making it so it’s totally impossible to know which of them I loathe more.
What I do know is that I defs won’t be watching the next two episodes of
Star Style though. Coming up on E! Entertainment this Sunday (June 18th at 11:30am) is an episode of Style Star about Tori, showing how her inherited horse-style has evolved over time.
Following this up the next week (June 25th at 11:30am) is episode about Paris Hilton. Thankfully Osbourne’s been left out of the picture – clearly they’re waiting for her to unporkify - which just isn’t ever gonna happen.
PS: Check out how Tori's just happens to be right in the centre of the Beverey Hills promo picture that's on the
show page for it. It's hardly as if she was the most important character and yet she's hogging centre-stage because of daddy
obviously.
