After reading what Tashi wrote about this show...It gives me great pain to admit that I was so addicted to the show I am still suffering withdrawal symptoms after it rudely ended on June 4th.
I am one of the millions of people who supported Joseph, for his wisdom, his kindness, his humility and for his refinement.
I was always upset that Big Brother had to remind them to switch on their mics but other than the hiccups (which can be attributed to any show), I really embraced Nigeria, its people and the Naija music through this show.
Joseph did not win the $100 000 but he came out as a bigger winner because he now has fans all over the continent and they are looking at doing what started as Joe's Fan Club (JFC) a bigger and better movement, which is now called: Joseph's Friendship Circle (www.jfc-international.org).
I hear his massive fans are bringing him to SA later this month..... let me know if anybody needs more info, I will surely source it for you.
The winner that walked away with the grand prize on June 4 is Katung. A 26 year old charming guy! With Joseph out of the house, I wanted him to win. He knew how to play the game, was very intelligent and so natural, he opened his heart for all of us to see. He fell in love with Ify and oh, the chemistry between those two was just amazing.
Of course the Federal Government in Nigeria had to be involved after fans formally complained that votes were rigged to make Katung remain in the house during the week that Joseph was voted out....Yeah there was some drama alright!
Lots of Nigerian celebrities visited the house, Jay Jay Okocha- The soccer player, Lagbaja the musician, 2Face Idibia - the one who beat our Zamajobe to the first African MTV award, even Gaetano from BB AFrica paid the housemates a visit.
I really had fun watching the show. It was beautiful and as a result, I'm proudly South AFrican but I am also in love with Naija....they must just ease up on the Green though....it ain't easy on the eye!!!!
