Geoffrey Arend is an American actor best known for his role as advertising executive Hector Culligan in the television drama series Trust Me, in 2009.
He also starred as Dr. Ethan Gross on the medical drama television series Body of Proof, from 2011-2013.
Arend first hit the big screen as a college student getting busted for drugs in the 2001 cult comedy film Super Troopers.
The New York native followed it with such feature films as Garden State and The Ringer, as well as such TV shows as Undeclared, Law & Order and Greek.
Arend’s New York stage credits include the Manhattan Theater Club’s production of The American Pilot, as well as the Public Theater’s production of Mother Courage and Her Children, where he starred opposite Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline.
Arend appeared in David Zucker’s farce American Carol in 2008, and played a lead role opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel in 500 Days of Summer, in 2009.
In 2014 he began starring in the political drama series Madam Secretary as Matt Mahoney, Elizabeth's speechwriter.
