Bio
Sthembile Mhlongo is a South African writer, producer, musician, actress and presenter best known for co-hosting (with Sisanda Henna) the SABC1 religious music programme Gospel Gold.
Hailing from Ntuzuma in KwaZulu-Natal, she started her career in the media industry after she completed her Media Studies diploma, majoring in Advertising and Journalism.
Sthembile has worked both on and off screen, working on shows such as the SABC3 docu-reality travel series Oceans 3 and on the e.tv anthology series eKasi: Our Stories.
She worked on the religious channel One Gospel as a marketing manager and presenter and was a freelance journalist for a number of magazines whilst working for a Johannesburg-based advertising agency.
In May 2014, Sthembile joined Sisanda Henna as Gospel Gold co-presenter for the start of the fourteenth season.
In June 2018 she was credited in the recurring role of Thobeka on the Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya, first credited in Season 6, Episode 76, which aired on 25 June. A few episodes later, however, Lala Tuku was credited in the role, appearing as Thobeka from Episode 85 onwards.
Sthembile landed her first acting starring role as Nomvula in the SABC1 miniseries Emjindini, which revolves around a humble miner in a small town who stumbles upon a horde of gold coins. The series premiered on 16 September, 2018.
