Bio
Tholi B is a South African DJ and TV presenter best known for hosting his own show on Yfm and for hosting the first two seasons of the documentary series Ba Kae?.
He was born in Venda, where he spent most of his childhood. He made his way to Johannesburg in the early 90's and spent several years in High School in the West Rand.
After school he enrolled at Allenby Campus and studied Sound Engineering. He spent several years in the Post-Production industry, working as a Sound Engineer.
His big break came in 2005 when he joined AK on "The Joint" on Yfm, presenting a self-created feature called "The Joint Street Team". He started recording demos as an On Air presenter in 2007.
It took Tholi B a year to get a primetime slot on Yfm. He presented a 12h00 – 15h00 weekdays show. In 2013 he left Yfm to replace Pabi Moloi at 94.7 Highveld FM.
He owns a record label called Emphaya Records and a production company called Andani Productions which focuses on events and media strategies, amongst other things.
