Ronald Pickup is an English actor whose modern roles have included parts in Hornblower, Hustle, Foyle's War, Midsomer Murders, Waking the Dead, The Bill, Silent Witness, Sherlock Holmes, and Inspector Morse.
Ronald trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and has worked extensively in television, film and theatre.
Recent TV credits include Hustle (BBC), Sea Of Souls (BBC), Inspector Lynley Mysteries (BBC) and Waking The Dead (BBC).
His many roles at the National Theatre under Sir Laurence Olivier include Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, Danton's Death and Long Day's Journey Into Night.
In 1972 he played the lead in Richard II and Joseph Surface in School For Scandal.
Other theatre credits include: Romeo & Juliet (Royal National Theatre), Proof (Donmar Warehouse) and Look Back In Anger (Theatre Royal, Bath).
