Bio
Bongani Bingwa is a South African television presenter, actor, journalist and voice artist best known for presenting inserts for the M-Net current affairs show Carte Blanche, as well as its spinoff series Carte Blanche Medical and Carte Blanche Consumer.
He joined the programme as an anchor for Carte Blanche Africa - the version of the show that is screened outside Southern Africa and abroad. His responsibilities include on the field reporting, script writing and research on stories.
His background as a journalist includes a stint on Talk Radio 702 where he began as a News Anchor and progressed to hosting his own show - Talk at Nine.
Bingwa was educated at Wits University where he studied for a B.A. degree majoring in History and English. He has also completed various courses on Youth Development and has a strong passion for mentorship programmes that involve young people.
He has also acted in a number of television series including Generations, Sesame Street, Investigate Your Universe, Isidingo, Jozi Streets and Zero Tolerance.
In theatre he has acted in A Streetcare Named Desire and Master Harold & The Boys, which he also directed.
Bongani speaks Xhosa, English and Zulu.
