Bio
Hart Bochner is a Canadian actor, screenwriter, director, and producer best known for his television roles as Byron Henry in War and Remembrance (1988-1989) and as Zach McNeill in The Starter Wife, in 2008.
Bochner made his feature film debut in Ernest Hemingway's Islands in the Stream and went on to appear in the Academy award-winning film Breaking Away and opposite Bruce Willis in the blockbuster hit, Die Hard.
Other film credits include playing opposite Susan Sarandon in Wayne Wang's Anywhere But Here; Break Up with Bridget Fonda; the cult hit, Apartment Zero opposite Colin Firth; George Cukor's Rich and Famous with Jacqueline Bisset; and John Schlesinger's The Innocent opposite Anthony Hopkins.
On television, Bochner starred in the Emmy award-winning epic mini-series War and Remembrance, Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises and John Steinbeck's East of Eden.
Other TV credits include And the Sea Will Tell, Children of the Dust and Haywire.
He has also worked as a director, making his debut with the cult comedy PCU for Twentieth Century Fox and High School High for Columbia Pictures. Just Add Water, which he also wrote, stars Danny Devito, Dylan Walsh, Jonah Hill and Justin Long.
Bochner currently lives in Los Angeles and is actively involved in several causes, sitting on the board of directors for the Environmental Media Association as well as the DGA-PAC Leadership Council and L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaregosa's Green Ribbon Commission.
