H. Jon Benjamin is an American actor, voice actor and comedian best known for his voice-over roles as Jason and Coach McGuirk on Home Movies, Ben on Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, as well as various roles on the sketch comedy series Important Things with Demetri Martin.
He is also known for voicing the leading role of rakish and reckless, suave and sarcastic secret agent Sterling Archer on the animated series Archer.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Benjamin has garnered an extensive list of credits as a writer, producer and actor in some of television's most entertaining series.
In 2011, Benjamin played the title character on three series. In addition to voicing Sterling Archer, Benjamin is the voice behind Bob Belcher in FOX's midseason entry Bob's Burgers. He also produced and starred in Jon Benjamin Has a Van, a sketch show for Comedy Central.
Benjamin is perhaps best known for providing the voice of Dr. Katz's lazy son Ben in Comedy Central's animated hit series Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist from 1995-1999.
In 2006, he co-created (with David Cross) the animated series Freak Show and provided the voice of Tuck. Freak Show also aired on Comedy Central.
Benjamin teamed again with the network as a writer and co-producer of Important Things with Demetri Martin, a sketch comedy show in which he appeared as numerous characters.
Benjamin's other credits include Home Movies for Cartoon Network; Family Guy for FOX; and Assy McGee, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and The Venture Bros. for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.
