Barry Watson is an American actor best known for his role as Matt Camden in the television series 7th Heaven, appearing in 152 episodes from 1996-2006.
He also played the central character, Brian Davis, on What About Brian, starring in the show from 2006-2007.
Watson had a five-episode recurring role as Seth on Malibu Shores in 1996, and has guet starred on Days Of Our Lives; The Nanny; Sister, Sister; Baywatch; and Nash Bridges.
He has appeared in the made-for-TV movies Fatal Deception: Mrs. Lee Harvey Oswald (1993), Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman (1993) and Co-ed Call Girl (1996); and in the feature films Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999), When Strangers Appear (2001), Sorority Boys (2002), Love on the Side (2004) and Boogeyman (2005).
Watson is credited as a writer on one episode of 7th Heaven, entitled "Peer Pressure" (Season 7, Episode 8). He also directed two episodes: "Brotherly Love" in 2005 (Season 9, Episode 16) and in the same year "The Rat's Out of the Bag" (Season 10, Episode 5).
Watson was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease in May 2002, and went on hiatus from 7th Heaven while he underwent treatment.
As of April 2003, it was reportedly in remission, and he began appearing on the program again, starting with the 150th episode.
He has been married to actress Tracy Hutson since 14 July 2006. The couple had their first child, Oliver, on 2 May 2005.
