Bio
Peter G. is a South African singer best known as one of the Top 14 finalists on the sixth season of the M-Net reality competition Idols, in 2010.
The youngest contestant in the Top 14, Peter was born in Johannesburg, but grew up in Margate. He started his musical career at age 9 when he joined a classical youth choir.
A rugby player, Peter was forced back into singing when he broke his knee in Matric and had to join the school's production team instead of playing sports.
After leaving school, Peter managed to lose 22 kilograms of weight that he had picked up since not playing sport, and with his new-found energy and drive, his love of singing lead him to audition for Idols.
