Bio
Takkies Maswanganye is a South African dancer best known as one of the Top 16 contestants on the second season of the SABC1 reality competition So You Think You Can Dance, in 2010.
She is also known as a member of the all-girl group Fly Chix, whose attempt to break into the music industry was chronicled in the Vuzu docu-reality series Fly Chix, in 2013.

Dance history
She started dancing when she was nine and joined a hip hop and modern studio. She then studied ballet, Spanish and jazz at the art school Pro-Arte For Dance. After matric, she and her friends created a hip hop dance group called Cadence. She started dancing with Lorcia Cooper recently and judging the SADTA dance competition.

She should be SA's favourite dancer because she's passionate about her dancing and she wants to share the talent that God has blessed her with. Being a dancer is a dream come true and she is doing something about it. She is unique and loves making people smile especially through her dancing.

She entered a hip hop international competition in Germany and came 7th in her age group (12 to 15years)
She also entered the Shield Teens dance competition and came in 4th place
What would she do with the prize money
It would go towards training for her dancing, as there is always more room for that. She would love to give some money to charity, to helping kids on the street who have the same dreams. Her mission at the end of the day is to see young kids happy and get a chance to live their dreams and share that with the world. She would also love to start her own studio one day to share what she has been given the chance to do.
What makes her stand out in the competition?
She'll be bringing in her own unique style. She won't try to be anyone else but herself. She'll definitely bring the Spanish side of her.

She comes from a family of four: her mom, dad, brother and herself. She has a dog called Snoopy that she loves to bits.

She doesn't have any specific charity, all charities are close to heart because at the end of the day all the kids are there for the same reason. She loves helping people it doesn't matter where they come from.
