Bio
Erin Classen is a South African television and radio presenter best known as a host of the SABC2 daytime youth show Hip2B2, from 2005-2009.
She started at Hip2B2 as the resident "Mad Scientist" before taking over as anchor presenter 18 months later. She joined the show's production team as a freelance producer in January 2010.
In four years at Hip2B2 she also wrote features for the Hip2B2 magazine and was MC at various Hip2B2 events. She also toured South Africa with the show as part of the iThink Challenge team.
She was the anchor presenter for Hip2B2 when the show was nominated for a SAFTA award for "Best Youth & Children Programme", in 2009.
Born and raised in Cape Town, Erin matriculated from Stellenberg High in 2001. Originally accepted to study Medicine at Stellenbosch University, she completed a B.Sc Biological Human Life Sciences at Stellenbosch from 2002-2005.
She is currently (as of August 2010) studying a B.Com Marketing Management degree at UNISA, graduating in April 2011.
Erin co-hosted The Breakfast Show at MFM for three years before joining the Good Hope FM on-air team in November 2006. She left Good Hope FM in September 2009.
In 2010 she started her own production company and began presenting for Zoopy Live on Zoopy.com.
She did classic and jazz training on flute and is certified in advanced defensive driving with Audi 4Rings Driving. She also volunteers as a member of the organising committee for CANSA Relay For Life North.
Erin is the daughter of Cliff and Lydia Classen and has one brother, Lyle Classen. She is married to Trevor Drayton.
