One Day Leader Bio
24-year old Zwelethu Kos from Ginsberg is a B.A. Hons Political Science graduate from the University of Fort Hare.
Zwelethu says "If South Africa was a woman; she would be the most beautiful woman to have ever walked the face of the earth. I am a firm believer that all human beings are born with a purpose, no one is a mistake.
"Secondly I believe there is a God who owns and controls the Universe and the functioning of it. It is that God who creates man and gives purpose to every human being on the face of the earth and that purpose is vital in functioning the entire Universe.
"No matter how small one's purpose in life may seem it is linked directly to the functioning of the Universe we live in. It is thus, important that everyone discovers their purpose.
"I set out early in life to discover what my desires and dreams are, because it is them, I thought, that will ultimately lead me to finding my final purpose and destiny."
On his vision as a leader he says "I dream of a South Africa that is free of crime, where criminals don't go unpunished. I dream of a South Africa where, when criminals are caught, they are punished in the most severe way so they don't even dream of committing crime again.
"It is crime that bedevils the development and integration of this beautiful country of ours. A South Africa free of nepotism and nepotistic tendencies that deprive those that deserve opportunities and the leverage of demonstrating what they can do for South Africa and the citizens thereof.
"I dream of a South Africa that is free from racism, sexism and xenophobia. This is a country where opportunities are available to all in an equal and equitable manner. Where every boy and girl is taught that all things are possible.
"A country where whether one is born in Soweto, KwaMashu or Sandton, every child can become whatever they want to become, because South Africa is alive with possibilities.
"I dream of a South Africa that prides itself in its ability to influence and lead the African continent, not only politically, socially or economically, but also ideologically and morally.
"It is possible to have a South Africa that is the gateway to Africa and the rest of the third world, a country where policies are implemented for the benefit of the majority of its citizens.
"I believe that South Africa can harness the potential in the rest of the continent to transform Africa from a beggar to a taker and giver in the international system."
