James Brayshaw is an Australian former state cricketer and now television and radio personality best known as co-host of Channel Nine's The Footy Show, the number one AFL program in Australia.
In addition to The Footy Show, James took the reins as host of Triple Ms weekday Drive show The Rush Hour with Billy Brownless, host of the Sunday Footy Show, part of the commentary team for 3MMM AFL and Nine's coverage of the Cricket.
In addition to this at the start of 2010 James was part of the Vancouver Winter Olympics Commentary team for Nine.
As well as his football coverage, James appeared in 2009 on Wipeout Australia and was also an audience favourite for his larrakin humour on Triple M's breakfast show The Cage for 5 successful years.
James is one of the few presenters in the industry who commentates both AFL and cricket on radio and television. A former state cricketer his first hand knowledge adds credibility to his commentary and hosting abilities.
James' versatility across both AFL and cricket confirms his standing as one the industry's respected experts and a great "all rounder".
Career highlights include co-hosting the Commonwealth Games with Garry Lyon on Channel Nine, co-hosting M-sport with Garry Lyon (Sam Newman in 2006) and heading up Friday night and Saturday afternoon AFL coverage for 3MMM.
Prior to James' TV success, he had an accomplished career in broadcasting on SAFM to calling cricket on ABC national radio.
On top of that James is the Chairman of North Melbourne Football Club (AFL).
He played 75 first class cricket games for Western Australia and South Australia and was twice part of winning Sheffield Shield teams. As a batsman he amassed 4,934 career runs at an average of 42.53, with 10 centuries. He retired from cricket in 1997.
