Charlie Bouguenon is a South African actor best known for his recurring role as Coco's (Gugulethu Zuma) on-off boyfriend Brad in the television sitcom It's for Life, in 2011.
Charles began performing at an early age. With his father and grandfather being classical musicians it came as no surprise when he started with violin and music theory at the age of four and later discovering and carving out a niche for himself as an actor.
While growing up Charles was very active in dramatic societies with performances ranging from Shakespeare to Alan Ayckbourn, to five Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, to Grease - the musical.
After school Charles studied Drama at the University of Pretoria, and also holds a teacher's diploma in Latin American and Ballroom dance, and a certificate in Stage Combat.
Charles' television experience includes roles in Scandal!, Jozi Streets, projects for the 46664 Foundation, Egoli and various adverts.
Some of his theatre credits include Fame - the musical, Janice Honeyman's Cinderella Pantomime, Ladies Night, Antony & Cleopatra, Now That's Tap, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Buddy - the Buddy Holly Story, The King & I, Houtkruis - Die Musical and also played the psychotic role of Frank-n-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
In 2011 he played the role of Jimmy Meyer on the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan and corrupt talent agent Leonard van Heerden on the kykNET soapie Binneland.
