Jensen Ackles is an American actor best known for his television roles as Eric Brady in Days of Our Lives, Alec/X-494 in Dark Angel, Jason Teague in Smallville and Dean Winchester in Supernatural.
He also appeared in 12 episodes of Dawson's Creek as CJ (2002-2003), and in six episodes of Still Life (2003-2004), playing the role of Max Morgan.
Ackles has also guest starred on Wishbone, Mr. Rhodes, 7th Heaven, Sweet Valley High and Cybill. Additionally, he starred in the mini-series Blonde, opposite Patrick Dempsey and Poppy Montgomery.
On the big screen, Ackles made his debut in David Winkler's Devour for Sony Pictures. He also starred in David Mackay's romantic comedy Ten Inch Hero. The independent film is a sexy, funny, romantic comedy about the tangled love lives of co-workers at a sub shop in Santa Cruz.
Ackles began his acting career in 1997 as the critically acclaimed Eric Roman Brady on Days of our Lives, for which he received three Daytime Emmy nominations and won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer in 1998.
Ackles was born in Dallas and was raised in Richardson, Texas. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
