Bio
Euphonik (real name Themba Mbongeni Nkosi) is a South African club and radio DJ specialising in Afro House, Commercial House, Deep House, House, Kwaito and R&B best known to radio listeners for his shows on 5FM.
Born in Mpumalanga, Euphonik spent his early years in Likazi before moving to Daveyton and then Benoni. His love of music was fueled early on by artists his father was listening to, including The Spinners, Marvin Gaye, Stimela and Hugh Masekela.
By his late teens he was already behind the decks and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the clubbing scene.
Showing great business savvy, Euphonik also landed a highly coveted job doing A&R for SoulCandi. Initial regional radio exposure of his infectious mixes on Yfm led to national exposure on 5fm's Fresh Drive and ultimately Euphonik was given his very own radio show plus his weekly Ultimix every Wednesday on the Fresh Drive.
He was the co-host (with DJ Fresh) of the SABC1 youth music magazine show Club Culture, from 2011-2012.
In 2013 he joined the e.tv dance reality competition Step Up or Step Out as a permanent judge, joining Khabonina Qubeka and Emile "YX?" Jansen in the show's third season.
