Bio
Dineo Lusenga is a South African radio DJ, television presenter and actress best known to television audiences for hosting the youth talk show Ek Se Lalela, in 2012.
She is known to radio listeners for hosting shows on YFM and 5FM.
Born in Pretoria, Dineo did a BA in Drama Arts at the University of the Witwatersrand, graduating with an honours degree in 2009. While at university she appeared in various theatre shows including a stage adaptation of The Passion of the Christ.
She was the "voice of Wits" as a campus radio station DJ from 2006-2007 and was a trainee radio presenter at YFM from 2008-2009. During this time she became a professional radio and TV producer and television content researcher.
Also in 2008, she recorded an audio CD called Tjoon In, which was designed specifically for playing in public transport as part of "16 Days of Activism", to raise awareness among taxi drivers and passengers about gender violence.
Her big break in entertainment came in 2010 when she landed the 01h00-04h00 slot on Saturdays and Sundays on 5FM, which brought her to the attention of the SABC.
She landed a guest role in the SABC1 drama series Intersexions in 2010 and became production manager for the SABC1 youth show Ses'khona.
In 2012 she landed her first television presenting gig as host of the SABC1 youth talk show Ek Se Lalela, a talk show which serves as a platform for the youth to exchange ideas and opinions through frank, uninhibited and yet responsible conversation.
Dineo is multilingual, speaking English, Sepedi, Sotho, Tswana, Afrikaans, Venda, Tsonga, Zulu and Xhosa and currently resides in Johannesburg.
