Bio
Daniel Zacapa (credited early in his career as Garret Pearson) is a Honduran-born American actor best known for his role as Detective Taylor in the 1995 film Seven and for his starring role as Ruben Santiago in the television drama series Resurrection Blvd., from 2000-2002.
He is also known for his starring role as Emilio Valenzuela in the paranormal horror series The River, in 2012.
Zacapa was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and raised in California's San Francisco Bay Area. An avid baseball fan and follower of the San Francisco Giants, he still dreams of being invited to a Giants' home game to sing the National Anthem or to throw out the first pitch.
Zacapa's numerous film and television credits include Hill Street Blues, Seven and Up Close & Personal. His break-out role came as Ruben Santiago on the television series Resurrection Blvd.
In his film career, he has worked with such famed directors as David Fincher, Gore Verbinski and Robert Towne, and alongside legendary talents like Morgan Freeman, Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.
Beyond acting, Zacapa is passionate about speaking to youth about achieving their dreams, as well as reading to children in school. He continues to follow the Giants during baseball season.
