Bio
Kat Dennings is an American actress best known for her starring role as Max Black in the television sitcom 2 Broke Girls.
She also had a starring role in the short-lived sitcom Raising Dad, from 2001-2002.
Dennings became known to audiences following her roles in the feature films The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, the latter of which she was nominated by the International Press Academy for a Satellite Award.
She also starred in the movie adaptation of the comic book series Thor.
Her additional film credits include Daydream Nation, Defendor, Shorts, The Answer Man, The House Bunny, Charlie Bartlett, Raise Your Voice, Down in the Valley, London and Big Momma's House 2.
In 2005, she was selected to participate in the prestigious Sundance Filmmaker's Lab, where she worked with Robert Redford on director Dante Harper's Dreamland.
Dennings broke into television with an appearance on HBO's Sex and the City in 2000, in the episode "Hot Child in the City", playing a 13-year-old who hires Samantha to handle publicity for her bat mitzvah.
Her television credits include CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: NY, Without a Trace, ER, Less Than Perfect and American Dad!.
She was born and raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
