Bio
Dan Benson is an American actor best known for his recurring role as Zeke Beakerman on the teen sitcom fantasy children's television series Wizards of Waverly Place, from 2007-2012.
Benson grew up in a small town in Springfield, Missouri. Shortly after moving to Florida at the age of 15 Dan went to an actor and model scouting hosted by a local talent manager.
Several days after meeting with this manager he was introduced to Los Angeles managers (Hines and Hunt entertainment) scouting local talent in the area. He and his two brothers were chosen to be represented and they flew out to California where they began working in numerous national commercials, feature films and bit parts on TV.
Television guest roles include Phil of the Future, Zoey 101, American Dreams, State of the Union and Private Practice.
Dan got his big break when he landed the role of Friend #1 on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place. After a few months Dan had helped create an identity for his character and eventually became an integral part of the story as a character named Zeke.
In 2012 he appeared in the film Hanna's Gold, a family adventure film in which he played the lead character Luke. Other films he has acted in include Little Black Book (2004), The Onion Movie (2008) and The Rig, in 2010.
