Bio
Amy Landecker is an American actress best known for her supporting role as Mrs. Samsky in the 2009 feature film A Serious Man; and for her starring role as Paul Reiser's wife, Claire, in the short-lived sitcom The Paul Reiser Show, in 2011.
A Chicago native, Landecker was exposed to an entertainer's life early on as the daughter of legendary Top 40 DJ, John "Records" Landecker. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, she honed her acting craft performing with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, The Goodman Theatre and Victory Gardens.
Landecker won an Obie Award starring opposite Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon in Bug, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts.
Her memorable guest-starring television roles include the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series Mad Men, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Louie, Medium, Conviction, Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Her feature film work includes the Academy Award-nominated film A Serious Man, from Oscar-winning writers/directors Joel and Ethan Coen; Dan in Real Life, Temporary Girl, and Light It Up.
She also stars in the Amazon Video comedy-drama series Transparent.
