Clara Mamet is an American actress best known for her starring role as Amber Weaver, the oldest of the Weaver children and a surly teenager who terrifies her parents and all of the aliens in the neighbourhood, in the science fiction sitcom The Neighbors.
Mamet - the daughter of playwright and director David Mamet - is a dynamic actress and writer in her own right. She appeared in and wrote two one-act, two-character plays, Paris and The Solvit Kids, at the Ruskin Group Theater in Santa Monica.
In addition to appearing in The Neighbors, Mamet appeared in the Barry Levinson HBO biopic about Phil Spector, which stars Al Pacino.
Outside of writing and performing – which includes playing a bluegrass banjo - Mamet is a huge fan of classic British TV like Absolutely Fabulous, Fawlty Towers and anything by Ricky Gervais.
Mamet resides in Los Angeles. She is the half-sister of actress Zosia Mamet.
