Matt Moran is an Australian chef and television personality best known as a judge on the cooking competition reality series MasterChef Australia, from 2011-2012.
Moran is the well-known chef, restaurateur and owner of awarded ARIA restaurant, which enjoys one of the most enviable reputations and locations in Sydney overlooking the Sydney Opera House and the harbour.
In 2009 he opened a second ARIA restaurant, in Brisbane, in another stunning waterfront location on Eagle Street Pier.
In 2012 Matt opened the doors to Chiswick, in Sydney's leafy Woollahra. The menu at Chiswick is designed for sharing, reflecting the simplicity of great produce and changing seasons.
In addition Matt is the co-owner of event companies ARIA Catering and ARIA Catering at Sydney Opera House.
While Matt's main focus remains his restaurants, his passion and knowledge can also be seen on TV shows as a judge on MasterChef Australia and Junior MasterChef or in his regular contributions to various newspapers and magazines.
He is also the author of three bestselling cookbooks - Matt Moran, which showcases ARIA dishes for the home cook, When I Get Home and his new book Dinner At Matts, that include simple, stylish recipes for family and friends at home.
